We are a little different from others. We look different, act different, and certainly fish differently, and find our approach to be more successful than many others. Providing guided fishing trips for outdoor fish seekers in unique ways. We have customized the way we bobber fish for Chinook Salmon, specialized our light line gear for Steelhead fishing, and how we fly fish for Sea run Cutthroat Trout.
The Nestucca River, and other local estuaries and streams, have something to fish for, and catch, nearly the entire year. We typically fish full days by drift boat, or jet sled, depending on the seasons, and where the fish are. This gives us the best opportunity for success, and also for the customer’s personal preference. All of our boats a well built, custom to us for our needs, and nice and comfortable.
Fishing for winter and spring Steelhead on the Nestucca, and other local rivers begins the first of December, and remains excellent through most of April. Near the end of April, we make some slight adjustments, and begin fishing for summer Steelhead, and Spring Chinook. This goes through most of the summer, and slows near the end of July. August is mostly for fun. Hitting the Nestucca Bay for crabbing and enjoying the ocean. Occasionally, we head a little North for added crabbing, and clamming as well.
Then comes the fall, a change of the seasons. We live for Nestucca fall Chinook fishing. We begin fall Chinook in early September in tidewater. We remain there until good autumn rains raise the river, and hold it up. We head upriver in drift boats, and fish the river itself through November, and occasionally into early December. The Nestucca River fall King Fishery is spectacular, with beautiful scenery, crisp mornings, and big strong and aggressive fish.
Please join our family for a superb day of guided fishing, crabbing, or sightseeing on our beautiful coastal rivers and estuaries. The rivers are the Nestucca River, Three Rivers, Trask River, Wilson River, Tillamook Bay, Santiam River, Upper Willamette River, and many others, including Alaska. If you are looking for a significant change from the ordinary, contact us for your guided fishing excursions. Cheers! Jesse and Sara Zalonis
